John Christopher and Colleagues Raise More Than $8,000 during the NY Lawyers Help A Veteran 24-Hour Giving Challenge

John Christopher, a Partner with the Firm and Chair of the Young Lawyers Section (YLS) of the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA), took part in the NY Lawyers Help A Veteran 24-Hour Giving Challenge that was held on November 10. Mr. Christopher helped plan and coordinate the event, along with his fellow members of the YLS and the Young Lawyer Friends of The Foundation.

This year's event raised approximately $8,100. The money will go to fund a New York Bar Foundation grant to a yet-to-be-determined organization providing veterans legal services. Sahn Ward Braff Koblenz Coschignano made a matching contribution of $500 in support of this worthy cause.

The event has special meaning to Mr. Christopher, whose late grandfather, Paul L. Christopher, served in the U.S. Army during World War II. After being injured by shrapnel while in combat, he was honorably discharged and received a Purple Heart.
