The Honorable Edward G. McCabe Recognized by Nassau County Bar Association and the Town of Hempstead

The Honorable Edward G. McCabe, Special Counsel with the Firm, was honored by the Nassau County Bar Association at the group’s 119th annual Dinner Dance, which took place on May 12 at the Marriott Hotel in Uniondale. Justice McCabe was recognized for his 60 years as a practitioner of law. Prior to joining the Firm, he served as a Nassau County Administrative Law Judge and a New York State Supreme Court Judge. The Firm was proud to serve as a sponsor of the honoree reception held in conjunction with the dinner dance.

Justice McCabe was also recognized by members of the Hempstead Town Board and was presented with the Town of Hempstead 2018 Irish Heritage Award at a special ceremony on March 27 at Hempstead Town Hall. The award is presented to those who make outstanding contributions to Irish culture and heritage and their dedication and commitment to the local community. Justice McCabe is a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians Division 6 and has also been honored by the Irish Americans in Government and the Irish Feis Committee.

Justice McCabe was also on hand while Kathryn Driscoll Hopkins, chief clerk of the Nassau County Supreme Court, received the Patriot Award from the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve at a special ceremony on May 21. Ms. Hopkins was a longtime colleague of Justice McCabe’s, having served with him when he was Chief Administrative Judge and when he was the Nassau County Attorney.
