Michael J. Barone, Jr., is an Associate with Sahn Ward Braff Koblenz PLLC.  Mr. Barone concentrates his practice in the areas of zoning and land use, real estate law and transactions including IRC §1031 tax deferred exchanges, and litigation and appeals.

While attending law school, Mr. Barone interned for the General Counsel at Canon U.S.A., Inc., the Office of Legal Affairs at North Shore-LIJ Health System, and the Office of the Islip Town Attorney.  He also performed pro bono work with Mercy Advocacy Program, the legal advocacy arm of Mercy Haven, Inc., a not-for-profit charitable corporation.  Mr. Barone served as a member and the Articles Editor of the Touro Law Review while attending law school. 

Mr. Barone is the author of Delegation and the Destruction of American Liberties: The Affordable Care Act and the Contraception Mandate (29 TOURO L. REV. 795 (2013)) and a co-author of an abstract entitled, Posthumous Reproduction: Do Parents of a Deceased Son Have the Right to Use His Sperm? 

Mr. Barone is admitted to practice law in the State of New York and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. 

Mr. Barone graduated with a B.A. in Political Science from the College of the Holy Cross (2011), and received his J.D., magna cum laude, from the Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center (2014).
