Nicholas J. Cappadora is a Partner with SAHN WARD BRAFF KOBLENZ COSCHIGNANO PLLC. He concentrates his practice in the areas of zoning and land use, real estate law and transactions, municipal and legislative law, litigation and appeals and industrial development agency law. He has appeared before numerous municipal boards and agencies in Nassau and Suffolk Counties, representing a range of individuals, small and local business owners, as well as nationally recognized companies. Mr. Cappadora has successfully represented clients in all aspects and phases of residential and commercial real estate development. Furthermore, his ability to secure economic benefits from local industrial development agencies adds tremendous value to the projects he works on.

Mr. Cappadora is a frequently published author and has written several articles for the Real Estate/Municipal Law Edition of the Nassau Lawyer. Most recently he authored an article "Finding the Right Location, Zoning and Attitude for Transit Oriented Development" in the publication's September 2018 edition. He has also co-authored articles on the subjects of best practices for presenting gross floor area variances, boundary line issues in residential real estate transactions and determining when local land use disputes are ripe for federal court review.

Mr. Cappadora was selected to the list of New York Metro Super Lawyers' "Rising Stars" in 2017 and 2018. He was recognized in the practice area of Land Use & Zoning.

While attending law school, Mr. Cappadora interned for Nassau County Supreme Court Justice Anthony L. Parga. He also performed an internship with the Long Island Real Estate Group's at Work Program, in which he shadowed prominent professionals in the real estate industry. In addition, he was an active member of the Dispute Resolution Society, where he competed in a Dispute Resolution Triathlon sponsored by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority.

In 2012, Mr. Cappadora received the Hon. Frank A. Gullotta Endowed Scholarship from the Columbian Lawyers Association of Nassau County, of which he is a member. He is also a member of New York State Bar Association's Young Lawyers Section, the Nassau County Bar Association's Young Lawyers, Real Property and Dispute Resolution Committees and the Long Island Real Estate Group.

Mr. Cappadora was admitted to practice law in the State of New York in 2014. He is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York.

Mr. Cappadora graduated with a B.A. in Political Science from Hofstra University (2010), cum laude and received his J.D. from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University (2013).
